Fandom: One Tree Hill.
Character/Pairing: Nathan/Haley.
Rating & Word Count: G, 362 words.
Nathan smiles down at his newborn daughter, Isabella Brooke Scott, watching her as she squirms in his arms. Her eyes are cobalt blue and her head of dark hair are almost identical to his own.
He glances up at Haley lying in the hospital bed with Jamie curled up against her side. Haley's eyes are shut tight and he knows that she's sleeping, maybe even dreaming about what their life will be with this new, beautiful addition to their family.
When Bella grasps onto his finger, he brings her closer to his chest. His little princess. Haley had giggled when he called her a princess and told him he'd spoil her rotten if he was already calling her that.
"I love you so much, baby girl," he whispers softly, his lips brushing the top of her head gently.
He leans back in the chair slowly and starts to rock her to sleep. As he does this, he begins to tell her a story of a boy and a girl that fell in love years ago and live happily ever after.
"Once upon a time, there was a boy named Nathan. He was very arrogant and rude to everyone, especially his father. He loved to play basketball, though, and he would do anything to prove he was the best.
"One day, he met a girl named Haley. She was beautiful and sweet; she even became Nathan's tutor when he started doing badly in school. At first, Nathan was rude to her best friend, his brother, and he messed with Haley's head a lot.
"But eventually, Nathan started to fall in love with Haley. He didn't want to, but he just couldn't help it. So, when he finally kissed her and told her how much he loved her, she told him that she felt the same.
"Then, they got married and had a wonderful son named Jamie and a beautiful daughter named Isabella. And now, they all live happy ever after."
Nathan looks down at Isabella and smiles proudly when he sees that she's asleep against his chest, her hands gripping tightly to the material of his t-shirt. He shifts in the chair slightly and leans back, slowing falling into a much-needed sleep.
