Challenge 21: 10in20

Mar 16, 2020 20:48

Description: Create 10 icons in 20 days.

Requirements: Make up to 10 icons that fit the prompts below. Partial points available, bonus points for making a full set.

Prompts:
1. negative space
2. text
3. pastel
4. close crop
5. hair
6. two+ people
7. texture
8. black and white
9. sweet like candy
10. two images

Here is an explanation of the prompts, including an example icon:

1. negative space - a lot of the icon is left empty, creating "negative space" around the subject

2. text - needs to feature text somewhere. The text does not have to be readable but has to be recognizable as text.

(example of unreadable text)

3. pastel - dominant colour has to be a pastel

4. close crop - the icon is cropped close? I don't know how to explain this. The crop focuses on a small aspect, like someone's hands, or eyes, or mouth, etc.

5. hair - needs to focus on a character's hair (this can simply be a character or characters from behind, or focus on a special hairstyle, etc.)

6. two+ people - needs to feature at least two people in the icon (cannot be two images of the same person)

7. texture - use a (visible) texture

8. black and white - needs to be in black and white/greyscale

9. sweet like candy - can be a relationship or character or just using a "candy colour" (you don't need to use the specific colours in the linked palette; any that can realistically be a "candy colour" are fine)

10. two+ images - icon needs to be made out of two or more separate images (that can be of the same character)

Icon tables are to be 2 rows of 5 icons each. You may make your own icon table (with the help of a generator) or use the code below:
