“Cat, right? Angel pointed his finger at Cordelia as strolled into the Agency. Cordy rolled her eyes. “Brilliant deduction, boss.”
Angel paused at the door to the back office and scanned her up and down, more puzzled than creepy. “I’m kinda surprised you’d go that way,” he mused. “Wasn’t there some kind of problem back in Sunnydale…?”
“Do not remind me of Halloweens in high school.” Cordelia wrinkled her painted nose. “Anyway, all that’s behind me.” To punctuate, she turned and waggled her tail. “And speaking of, you’d better shake your tail if we’re going to get to that party. And your costume better be good, none of that baseball jersey or other cheats.”
Angel raised his finger again. “Wait til you see what I’ve got. It’s classic!” He stepped into his office, and as he closed the door, said temptingly, “I’ll give you a hint. It’s bigger on the inside.”
