Challenge 07: Team Story

Nov 16, 2020 06:34

It's time for another team challenge. :D

Description:

- As a team, in your team community, you are going to write a round-robin-style story. Make it as long as you can before the deadline. The starting 3 words for both teams are: In a lighthouse...

- One person adds 3 new words per comment.

- The same person cannot enter twice in a row, you need to wait for someone else to post their words before you can comment again. Other than that, anyone can enter as much or as little as they want.

- The story needs to be made of sentences and in some way resemble, well, a story, but no one is expecting it to make any actual sense, so don't worry about that. :D

- Any topic is fine as long as you keep it at most PG13-rated. You can add fandom-specific things if you want to (but don't be surprised if other people don't pick up this thread or replace it with their own fandoms because they're not familiar with yours).

- When the deadline has passed (preferably within 24 hours after the deadline, but I'm not going to be strict about it), delegate one person who will comment on this entry. They will need to post the link to the final story compiled somewhere in a public post (not the team post you're writing in) and a list of participants. (The number of submissions in general or per participant is not relevant and you don't need to list that.)

- It would be better if you don't make the public post before the deadline to keep the length of your story unknown to the other team.

- Some suggestions where to post the finished story: keepers_log, someone's personal lj, a google doc (public to read) or any other place you like. :)

- The way you run the challenge as a team is totally up to you. You can have someone compiling the story as you go. You can have a check-in thread for a handy list of participants. You can have a lot of other ideas I didn't even think of. :) (But none of these are required if you feel you can do without it.)

- The challenge can be organized by as many people from the team as you want, it doesn't have to be a team mod. (Since I'm part of Crew Sea, I'm not doing any organizing in my team to be fair to Crew Land. I am going to be playing, though. :D)

- There are no team threads. Submit your entry as a new comment to this post using the following form:

Team:
Link to your final story (in a public post, not the team post):
Word count:
List of participants:

Points:

300 team points for the team with the longer story
200 team points for the team with the shorter story
30 team points per participant (the maximum is the number of team members)
no individual points

Due Date: Monday, December 7th, 18:00 UTC (Countdown clock here; Time converter here)
