When Al told me a little bit about his world, he mentioned you. It's weird to think of there being another me off in some other universe, but I kind of wish I could meet you. From the sound of it, your life's gone a lot differently than mine. And if Al is right, you still have Other-Ty.

I think you're hilarious. I don't really know why we don't talk much or whatever, but I always enjoy it when we do, so . . . I don't know. You're the first person who came to mind, for whatever it's worth.

I finally read Winesburg, Ohio this year. I'd always meant to get around to it, ever since I was little and Uncle Mike told me you named me after a character in it. And now . . .
Why did you name me after "Tandy"? Am I named for that concept of the perfect woman, that nonexistent ideal that nobody can ever reach? Or for the little girl who wants so badly to be her? Or did you want me to be "just Tandy"?
As usual, you left me with more questions than answers. I guess I have to add this to the long list of things I'll never understand about you.
You know, I wouldn't have wanted to live with what you did, either. But I wish you'd at least had the grace to explain yourself beforehand.

You and your drug and your damned tests nearly killed me -- nearly killed us, along with all the others, and I still dream sometimes about how much what you did to me hurt.
But I think I've stopped hating you, somewhere along the way.
