RP Post: Comforting [locked to Blues-chan and V2]

Blues felt terrible after hearing about what had happened. Enzan in a fight, in Cross Fusion, meant V2 in a fight. And from all accounts, Enzan was pretty torn up. Not to mention V2 had been dealing with a lot lately anyway, what with the prank on Enzan and being concerned for him, and now they got roughed up? She had half a mind to seek out who

For a moment there was no response but soon enough, V2 appeared next to Blues. His armor was still on and he was sitting on the ground.

"Hey, Blues."

"Hi," she felt a little awkward, but she had to make sure. "So..." she reached a hand out to his tentatively. "Are you all right?"

A heavy sigh and V2 looked away. He didn't move his hand though, letting her take it.

"I don't know." There was a pause, "I still am a bit sore from the fight Enzan and I got in. The dark chip is strong."

She squeezed his hand lightly in a way she hoped was reassuring.

Although she wished she could, Blues couldn't help the soreness. "I'm sorry," she said sincerely. "How about emotionally?"

V2 actually gave a smile of some kind to that question. "Enzan and I had a talk about it." V2 finally looked over at Blues, "I still feel empty from it. I just do what is expected of me."

She was still worried on that front, too. "That is...as long as you've worked that out with him. If you can find fulfillment in something else, then it probably doesn't hurt. If you do find something else..." not that Blues didn't understand that sentiment. She wasn't always enthusiastic about her Enzan's adventures. "You have something else, right?"

He gave a shrug, "I just think if I somehow stop wanting more from my relationship with him and just be what is expected, it will stop hurting." V2 shrugged again, "I took up drawing. I think I mentioned that, I don't know. But I do that from time to time."

"If he's your friend, it won't stop hurting. But if you distance yourself, then yes, it might." Blues wasn't sure where to give advice on this, or what specifically to do in that sort of situation. So she was careful. She didn't want things to be worse.

"Yes, you mentioned that." She smiled slightly. "Are you enjoying it?"

"I'm just trying to be what I am supposed to be."

V2 nodded then pulled away from her, "Yeah. Wait one second." V2 left but quickly returned holding an image file out to Blues.

"That's all we can do."

Blues looked startled as he handed her the file, but it quickly turned into a blush. "You made me look pretty," she murmured, a small smile on her lips.

V2 just stared at her for a moment, "I didn't make you look pretty, you are pretty." He gave a smile.

Blues was still blushing a little, from both the drawing and the compliment. "Thank you," she said softly. "You...you are a very good artist. And I didn't know you thought I was pretty."

"Thank you." V2 blinked then looked away. Now he was blushing a little. "Y-yeah. You are, and you're real sweet."

"I always thought you were sweet. I should be the one saying that." She ducked her head, slightly embarassed. "And you're so good-tempered. Even though the first time we met I was suspicious of you, you didn't take it badly."

V2 smiled warmly and seemed to relax a little, though he had a hard time looking back at her.

"I don't know what it was. I get real uncomfortable around Blueses but I didn't have that with you." He looked at Blues but from the corner of his eyes. Of course his visor hid that.

Not that Blues could meet a direct look anyway. "Maybe because we're both different?" she suggested tentatively. "I don't feel comfortable around any of the male Blueses, either. Maybe it's because with all of them around, there are so few people to understand what it's like to be...different and yet similar." She gave him a smile. "We're not exactly Blueses. We're...not-Blueses."
