poem: lasso the stars

"Lasso The Stars" by lighted

If only the stars were closer,
I could lasso one down,
bring it to you,
and show you
how much I love
love you,
by saying,
"my love for you
burns brighter than
this star,"
and than you look
at me, and see it
in my eyes,
than we hold
the rope with
which I lassoed
that star, and
follow it to
the Milky Way.
