Last night was a nice night, because once I actually went to bed it was raining, and it was nice just lying awake listening to it. My neighbors street light was making all the raindrops on my window sparkle, and it looked pretty, hah. I woke up, and couldn't breathe, so I just stayed up and decided to start being nice, so I made french toast for my sisters. I don't think my act of kindness really won them over though, because they told my dad that I fell asleep for the whole afternoon and that I go to bed at three (which was a total lie, cuz it was four last night), so now he might make me go to bed eariler...not that he can do that, haha.
Anyway, I'm going to inform y'all on the events of my Thanksgiving, as requested, haha....
Soo...about exactly this time a week ago we arrived at my grandparents. Everyone was being really mean to me in the car on the ride down, haha. :( I really, really strongly dislike long car rides with my family...nothing against them, but I just don't like being that close to them for that long. It also took like two hours more than it usually does. I didn't feel very good, so Eden played with my hair to make me feel better, but it was pretty painful. :X By the saving grace of God we made it there finally, and I don't think I said too many things I regretted on the way down, lol. Pop-pop said that the tenPas' weren't gonna be able to come that night, and I almost cried, cuz I wanted to go there instead (rough day), haha. Thankfully that wasn't true, because I don't think I would've made it that night, heh.
I got to spend the night at Kristina's <3, and then the next morning was Thanksgiving. I think it was the first Thanksgiving in forever that I didn't wake up, watch the parade and eat sticky buns. That's ok though...at least Uncle Marty didn't wake us up at four to go hunting with him or something, lol. I'd probably shoot someone on accident, cuz already having bad aim+no sleep= a disaster in waiting. So, the whole family went to Steve and Mary Jo's house for the day. Kris and I were some of the first people there, and decided to go look at the new calves. Haha, but I was scared, cuz I thought one of their mothers would like run us over or something, because they were glaring at us and all. They all kept running away, so we didn't get to pet them. We chose just to go back to the house, but on the way over the fense Kris was like, "Em, you might want to be careful and watch out for that wire there..I'm not sure if it's turned on." Haaa...lets just say I was a little more careful after that. It was kinda funny. It was a pretty slow day which was nice. Ate of course, played cards, watched A Christmas Story...or The Christmas Story, it's all the same to me, haha.
K, so the next day Kris' alarm goes off at five...after I couldn't fall asleep until almost three, haha. She wouldn't get up or turn it off, so I yelled at her to shut it up. Theen like an hour later when we were supposed to be leaving, Aunt Kathy comes in, and we're still asleep. Haha, AND Kristina had the gull to blame it on me since I told her to turn the alarm off, lol. I felt bad, cuz I messed with Aunt Kathy's shopping schedule, but she was proud of me since I was ready to go in five minutes. O:) Hahah, shopping at six in the morning...I wouldn't advice it. I was so tired...everything Kris said to me I heard incorrectly. It was probably pretty amusing to her. Yeah, we're pretty much the biggest dorks with sleep, so without it can just be frightening. The first store was pretty boring, cuz it was all office stuff, but I decided to test out the Leap Frog thing and see if it was as awesome as it was cracked up to be. Once I finally figured out that it needed turned on, it was really loud, and all these people stared at me. After that I decided it was best to turn it off and slowly back away. Once we got out of the first store the sun was up...it really threw me off for the rest of the day, because I always thought it was later than it really was. I also ran into a mirror later on in the day and almost screamed since I really looked like crap, haha.
Alright, so winding down...we saw Napoleon Dynamite later that day, and thank God it was a dollar theater and not somewhere where I would've had to pay almost $8. I was really let down by everyone who said it was the funniest movie ever. I'm so ashamed, lol. But only like one person agrees with me on that one, so if I hurt your feelings, sorry, haha. :X It was the last night there, and I was just worn out with everything. I fell asleep on my grandma's really nice, big, bed, but she had to kick me out, haha. The next morning I woke up from a bad dream at six something, felt like I was going to throw up, was sweating through my clothes, and obviously couldn't get back to sleep, but once I splashed some water on my face I felt better. (haha, but of course I was, cuz it's the solution to everything :P) But yeah, I didn't really have much energy to pray, but I asked God for strength. It was really not the greatest day, and having a lot on your mind plus driving home with a bunch of fighting kids wasn't really my thinking of a nice Saturday, haha. The view of the country was really nice though, and I just prayed for a while.
Hmm...so everything I just wrote, I'm glad I took out, haha. Lets just say Saturday night was a turning point for me. Getting that off of my back was probably the hardest thing I've ever done, but I feel so much relief now. I don't even have words. God has always been so good to me.
but now...I'm going to go finish my school. My mom said if it's not done I have to do it on Saturday. :X
