I was reading some of my favorite verses today, and I just felt like posting them.

Romans 8:31-39
...If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect? God is the one who justifies; who is the ( Read more... )

hehe, yeah...I'm definitely a horrible speaker too. ><

Isn't it such a cool feeling when you know you're saying the right thing, because God's really the one speaking? I was witnessing to my friend once, and I had an answer to everything she said, and it definitely wasn't me coming up with those answers. God started the conversation, and it ended when He wanted it to. Hmm...that reminds me...I should probably call her sometime. haha

That is a very good question there. It reminds me of something my youth leader said once. "God shouldn't be number one in your life, because anything that's number one can easily be bumped to number two and even farther down the list." It's so true, because God isn't just supposed to be "number one" in our lives. He is my life. I think once a lot of Christians realize that God is meant to be a part of every area of their lives and that He's not just an important part of who we are, they can't help but talk about Him all the time. God is everything if we allow Him to be everything for us. People can usually tell what's most important to others just by listening to what they talk about the most. I've known a few people where you'd think God was most important to them, because they would talk about Jesus a lot at youth group or whatever, but throughout the week I wouldn't hear them talk about God once. I've been like that too before though.

That's also like something I read once. I wrote it down in my devotional book- "There is a difference between God being my main source or my sole source. When Jesus said He is the way, truth, and life, He meant He is the ONLY way, truth and life."

Also kinda related to what you guys are saying- "To use all of Jesus' power, you must give Him ALL of yourself. You can't receive if you hold back." (it was a study on the Holy Spirit)

*waves to Emmy*. I hope your IM is fixed soon! ~Deb.
