Friday I was upset, because I thought I wasn't gonna be able to do anything for the weekend, but it ended up being really fun. Friday night I had to stay home with my sisters and the neighbor boy. All I did all night was reply to emails, but the kids were getting a little out of hand. Haha, it was funny. They all came in and demonstrated their different laughs and their new burping tricks. It was the only interesting thing of the night.
Saturday I didn't really do anything until my soccer game. We tied 0-0, and I made some pretty cool stops if I do say so myself. I can't really remember too much of the game SINCE Bethany kicked the ball into my face. lol- it makes me laugh though. I ran up and kicked the ball out, ran into some girl, fell on my face, started getting up, and then all the sudden I see the ball coming right at my face. I looked up again, and the ball was only a couple feet away, so I scooted over and flopped on the ball. I was like "Yes! I can be a goalie!" haha. I have a good team. Man, everyone was trying to distract me though, cuz everyone I knew who was walking behind my goal just had to strike up a conversation with me. It was funny.
Hannah and Megan were at my game which made me feel cool. I hung out with them for a while, and then I talked to Jake and Leah and Anna some. I stayed for three other games after mine, but it was a lot of fun. I got to see Emily from co-op for a few minutes, and that was nice, cuz I like her. The whole Hoffman family was also there, so I talked to them. That one corner on the field at Caa is so gross man. There was a puddle, that was relatively deep, in the midst of all that mush. It was yucky. Anyway, I got to talk to Bethany for a long time at her brother's game. I should hang out with her sometime, cuz I think she lives like two minutes away.
Leah and I dropped of the David boys then went back to her house. We ate something, finally got to talk, and then we were about to fall off the couch dead, so we went to bed. Ahh! But it's so cold now. That really makes me sad, because it can't be this cold so soon. :( I miss summer, but then again I don't. I dunno...it's just too cold already.
Church was good as always. Some of the Simonaire's friends from Saudi, George and Madonna, spoke a little and did a few songs. I really liked what they had to say. They are crazy amazing people, and I suck *creis*. Leah wanted me to go back to her house after church, but I decided to go to the Simonaire's for youth group. I really wish we had a trampoline. They're so fun, but I feel bad for Lydia, cuz she kept having to chase after the balls which kept going in the neighbor's yard and up and trees and all. George and Madonna shared at youth group, and that was also really good.
When I look at their lives and see how they include Christ in every single area of their lives, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem, it makes me feel like the lamest Christian ever. :P I know I'm not supposed to be them, but they're certainly a good example to follow. When they ended the message, George prayed for each of us individually. I really liked that, because it's just always nice knowing someone is praying specifically for you. He doesn't even know, but what he said when he was praying for me was just what I needed prayer for. Then after George was done praying Madonna told me something that definitely took me off guard. I really wish I remembered exactly what she said.
I didn't even know at the time what she said really cuz of her accent, but I got the idea. She said while we were praying she was looking around the room, and when she looked at me she really felt the Lord telling her that I was going to do ministry stuff internationally. Whatever she said it definitely wasn't that, but that's as close as I can get. I was just staring at Megan thinking "whooa, that's crazy." Then I told her that I felt like God wanted me to be a teacher in Ethiopia and whatnot. I was talking to her about it outside later, and she told me she didn't know if she wanted to tell me that, cuz she didn't want to weird me out or anything. She said while we were praying she just kept asking God if He was really telling her that and if she should tell me then and making sure it was me. Haha, I just think that's so insane.
Once we got home the Splitter's were here, so they just stayed for a cookout. That was really fun, and then I finally was able to reach Claire, and she ended up stopping by for a couple hours. I was about ready to call the police to start a search for her, cuz I thought she got lost. lol, but she just had to drop her brother off back at her house. She got to see Andrew, but he was crying the whole time. *sorry :P* We pretty much just hung out in my room and talked for a long time, and I showed her my pictures from Panama. It was almost midnight, so we kicked her out. Actually, she just had to leave, but it was so nice to finally see her and actually get to talk to her, because it's been a while.
Yesterday I missed The Purpose Driven life Bible study...again. Today I have not done any school yet, because we were in D.C. all day. It was our little family outing day since dad's going to Russia Thursday. It was really fun for the most part. We spent about 45 minutes looking for a parking spot. Then we went to the Smithsonian which was cool. We saw the Hope Diamond, and I really want some of the fancy looking jewelry we saw, except for I'd most likely topple over, cuz it's so big. After that we went to the Napier's and had some pizza hut, and then we came home.
I actually don't have a lot of school to do this week, but I have a lot of literature to read, annnd I should probably be doing that now.
I have this cut on my finger which really hurts and is bothering me a lot. :'(
Oh, and I want this shirt, because it's so amusing. :)
