more exciting news!
so in response to my last post, erin commented that $125 isn't enough to support oneself, and as some of you may know, i have the most wonderful job in the world as a lifeguard. so here's my second piece of exciting news: i got a raise ON TOP of my annual raise on friday! i am very excited about this and it shows that hard work/patience pays off! i say patience because i've been hearing through the grapevine since the beginning of may that i might get a raise, but i didn't feel it was appropriate to ask yet... and i didn't have to :) so now i'm either going to make $9/hr (SUPERVISOR pay!) or $8.75/hr... since i made $8 last year, i'll definitely take either.
and today, the lifeguards had a car wash to raise $$ for relay for life, and we made $525.45 in a little over 3 hours! i love my coworkers, and i am so thankful for everyone who helped out today.
i did, however, get so sunburned at the car wash that you could roast marshmallows above my shoulders. oh well.
