Not a surprise....
I'm such a foodie geek. And a LARP geek.
So there's this ... thing at a LARP I play, where we're supposed to be really, really English-Welsh (a bit more Welsh) late tomorrow night. Some vocal people are singing, which admittedly I might do a bit as well. lilisonna is bringing honeycakes. I did some poking around, and decided to make some bara brith. Because, well, I'm a foodie LARP geek. Oh, and a little cheese.
I considered doing laver as well (Whole Foods carries the seaweed!) but decided against it. I'll only go so far for my craft, and seaweed--even seaweed fried in bacon grease--is going a little farther than I wanna fix on site. The bread, I can make at home and cart it to the game.
I merely bring this up because the apartment smells like cinnamon & nutmeg at the moment. Sometimes, I love baking.
