(no subject)
Somewhere along the line, I decided I had a Rule of Two. Or a Rule of Two Viewings, really. I love discovering a good film or TV series for the first time and being surprised at what it brings to the table. Even better (or worse, depending) is the next time, when I know all the story beats and thus can appreciate the way said movie or show is crafted without worrying about what’s going to happen next. If it holds up to -- or gets better after -- that second viewing, it's usually golden from there on out.
According to this, I now find Kung Fu Panda to be pretty damn awesome. Not perfect, but terrific at accomplishing what it sets out to do. The fun factor doesn’t hurt things either. Skidoosh!
In other news: hey, new layout! I figured it was time to give up the S1 ghost -- or more accurately, I was ready for something different and cleaner looking. And eeee, visible icons! Outside of the comment pages! <3
... Ahem. I have more to say, but maybe I’ll come back to it later. 'Tis bedtime.
