Open to those who have a reason!
Monday mornings. Most people probably didn't look forward to those as much as Lilith did. Although, really, she was just looking forward to doing something productive instead of worrying about her friends. That was the main reason she was dressed, preened to perfection, and walking into the building that held the Witch Weekly offices at barely sunrise. Wondering about whether the powers that be had decided on which quidditch star to do their feature piece on, she was distracted as someone ran into her and off again in the lobby, without even a word of apology.
"Don't mind me, just walking here." Lilith murmured under her breath as she smoothed her clothes out and headed for the elevator. Some people were just so rude! At least they didn't cause her to break a heel or something. Find the small positives in what seemed to be setting itself up to be another awful week.
Any positives were completely forgotten as the elevator doors opened. Chaos. Mess. The reception area was trashed, files laying strewn across the welcome counter and floor. Lilith stood transfixed by what looked like the results of a whirlwind hitting her work. It was in a state of shock that she managed to step out, slow at first but speeding up as she headed for the offices.
Several doors seemed knocked off their hinges, and as she looked in she found computers pulled apart, drawers ripped open, more files everywhere.
Witch Weekly had been broken into.
Pulling herself together, Lilith sent a message to report the apparent break in, and went off in search of any other staff.
