My family and I continue to do remarkably well, I think. In my case, this is due in no small part to the love and support of my friends. blimix continues to rack up karmic brownie points.
The last time he came down, he brought a card full of messages of love and support from my fellow Philosophy Diners. I started crying (in a good way) the moment I opened it. Thank you all. When I showed it to my brother Jeff, he said with a big smile, "One might think you were loved."
Beth and Derek have been keeping me company and giving me loads of cuddly goodness. Beth pulled one of her Amazing Long-Distance Driving Woman(tm) feats in order to do so.
The clean-out of my mother's apartment is going at a very fast clip. I don't think we're going to have any difficulty finishing in time, and I don't think I'm going to need to take anyone else up on their offers of additional hands.
