Arietta
History and Background Information

This version of Arietta is canon and AU. Arietta is sixteen and knows about Original Ion, his plans of destroying the Score, his death, and that he has been replicated. Playing her this way, opens the possibility of Sync/Arietta, which would never be canonly possible.

This Arietta was originally taken from a AU view. Here is a small description of how she's played now, time line wise. She is post-death Original Ion, but has some canon elements from the game, and is played essentially post-canon with a few tweaks here and there. Arietta holds her canon past of her parents being killed by a tsunami on Feres Island and being taken in by Van and Ion. She was trained to be a Fon Master Guardian once after being taught to be human once more. She holds a grudge against Anise for replacing her, but also, for not telling her about Ion when she knew. Arietta considered herself and Anise to be close friends in the Order. It isn't until she's replaced and is not told why, she starts to harbor hate against Anise. In addition, when she finds out the Ion she believed was hers, wasn't, she hates Anise even more for not even disclosing the information that she knew. This is why she fought Anise by sending her a letter of challenge. This caused Arietta to come close to losing her life. Even in her ending moments, she called out the Original Ion's name, even knowing that she would soon be dead and soon, be with him. Although, fate turned her away from this seemingly happy ending and allowed her to live, after being taken away from the battle scene by Largo.

Arietta does not hold a grudge against Original Ion, ironically. She is upset with him for not telling her about his plans to destroy the Score, or more importantly, the coming of his own death. She actually wishes he was a little bit more open with her and could be more understanding about her feelings. Because of his lack of expression towards her, she killed herself in hopes to make Ion feel the same pain she felt when he had died. Sadly, her effort was in vain. She now has a red ring around her neck (hidden behind her collar) as a reminder. From this experience, she has grown, but has also, slightly detached herself away from Ion.

In her mind, Ion isn't the person she remembered and is slightly mean to her. Even so, she can't turn him away nor can she leave him alone. Even though she might swear that she never wants anything to do with him ever again, it's not likely that she'll keep her word. Ion is the one who gave her the life that she has now and that is not simply something she can ignore.

Even though it would seem likely, she does not hold anything against Sync for being a replica of Ion. In a way, she wants to understand him. She knows that he believes himself to be nothing of this world and trash since he's only a replica, but she wants to prove to him that he means something... that he means something to her. Not just because they're allies, but because in a way like Ion, he would be there for her in a way no one else can. She is what Ion called her, a "Sync sympathizer."

Now she's with Sync, and the both of them are working on an actual relationship. But it's a lot harder than they imagined.
