As a consequence of my previous jewelry related posts, my friend Nina sent me a package with a fantastic collection of beads she got in a bead show. There are freshwater pearls, tiger eye stone, crystals, etc, etc. She (and her children) did a wonderful job picking them :) A heartfelt thanks to them.
Here I'm pleased to show a few of the new projects I've concluded, some of them involving the beads she sent me :)
This bracelet has been made with memory wire, pale gray freshwater pearls and magnetic hematite:
Bracelet Detail How It Looks On a Wrist This one has been made with magnetic hematite (the round hematite beads aren't magnetic) and memory wire.
Another Bracelet Detail This is a necklace made in blue silk cord, with Chinese knots, the main one, from which the big blue bead hangs, it's the knot of prosperity. Learning to make Chinese knots is fun, but not easy. Then, I used light blue cat's eye beads as a complement, with double button knots. The matching earrings are also in light blue cat's eye beads. The leverbacks are silverplated, and I added a nice, medium sized rhinestone, also matching with the cat's eye.
