Rika was hoping to send the day with Ryo while working on the float, she was hoping the school enviroment would make things clean. It also gave her a little monkey to boss around all day. She looked for him to help her move the boxes she had closer to the float.
She was late due a tussle with rival earlier that had jumped one of Yumi's comrades. So being the leader she had a certain obligation to protect her own. After all she has been feeling pressure from fellow members that her leadership role had been lacking, so she was trying to prove to them she was still capable to lead leaving other aspects of her life to be put at the bottom of her priorities list.
Running thru the clusters of homerooms, Yumi blonde hair flung from right then to the left as she scanned each class trying to spot a familiar face from her own homeroom.
Shivering from the cold Yumi hugged tightly to her coat as she trucked on looking for homeroom A's Float. Not seeing the sleet of ice, Yumi's feet slipped. She desperately tried to keep her balance, but ended up with a loud thud on the frozen ground. Using her hands to push herself up Yumi winced in pain.
"That hurt." She mumbled out loud. She could hear a few snickers.
The parade would be beginning soon. Ritsuko was just happy to not have to go to class today. At least she wouldn't have to worry about not running into him today, she thought as she glanced towards homeroom F's float.
The sound of people laughing broke her thoughts, and Ritsuko looked over in time to see Yumi on the ground. "Ohmigoodness Yumi!!! Are you okay?" She yelled, running over to the blonde.
"AHAHAHAHAHAHA" Ryo crouched where he stood, holding his stomach as he laughed at Yumi. He was heading over to where Rika stood when he saw Yumi slip on the ice.
Naozumi stood in the middle of their homeroom's float, reorganizing the furniture in the inside for the hundreth time. History was his cup of tea, so he wanted this to be perfect. He was adjusting the arrangement of the katanas that he had borrowed from one of the professors at the University when Yumi arrived.
Taking one last glance at the staging on the float, Naozumi grabbed a large box and jumped off the side onto the pavement. The box had an assortment of old garments that the students in the homeroom would be dressing in for the float. The parade would be starting soon, so it was time to start getting dressed. He began to pass out the costumes, everyone having previously tried them on prior to today. A strip of scotch tape on the inside of the outfit had a name written on it to indicate who's costume was who's. Naozumi had even went as far as bringing a small tent for them to change in, just in case they had ended up cutting to short to run back to the school to change.
She took the hand of Haitani whom offered to help her up. "Thanks, you look sorta familiar." She looked at him hard trying to place him; however, before she could, her ears filled with Ritsuko's voice of concern. For a moment she looked in what direction she was yelling from. Looking to the left then to the right she spotted her beloved friend Ritsuko bounding towards her.
Smiling she gave a thumbs up, "I'm fine but I won't be if people don't shut their mouths." She hissed through her teeth.
The snickers slowly faded as the students amusement at Yumi became not so entertaining. She began walking, now carefully, over to meet Ritsuko. Of course after thanking the boy one more time and cursed the ice. "We're in the same homeroom, so I'll see you over by the float."
Once Yumi was closer, she questioned in a mumble where their homeroom's float was.
Haitani was slightly hurt by Yumi's confusion of him. Was he that bland? Hurt but having no where else to go he followed the girls back over to the float.
"You really need to be careful, Yumi-chan!" Ritsuko said in a motherly tone. "Now go over to Tanaka-kun. He's handing out our costumes. We have to get dressed so we can get our make-up done"
"Man you is a klutz," Ryo said under his breath as he continued over to Rika. "I cantch wait to see you all dressed up, doll," he said to her as he automatically went to grab the boxes.
Rika blushed and gave Ryo a dirty look secretly she smiled as he picked up the boxes knowing to help her without any spoken words. "You and your perverted streak. Anyways," she bent down and grabbed some as well. "Were we doing something together during Christmas? I mean I can make plans with you if your free."
At her invite, Ryo stumbled over nothing, almost dropping his box as he lost his composure. He hadn't even thought about Christmas up to this point, and certainly hadn't considered that Rika would even want to be around him during the holidays. "Yo you serious, baby? Cuz ya know I'll be dere only if ya serious. I dunt wanna upset the folks by intrudin'."
"No its alright." Rika gave a reassuring smile. "My parents wouldn't mind you and you wouldn't be intruding in the least bit. If it bothers you though we could do something private with just the two of us."
"That way you would get to avoid them if you wanted. Either way its fine just what you would prefer."
"Hah!" The thought of meeting her parents succeeded in making Ryo nervous. He wasn't one to try to impress and he knew for sure that he wasn't the type that was impressive. "Naw I would love to meetcho folks! But we still should do sumthang private and romantic, ya?"
