Check out Veet's post here and consider your support, because it's a great cause!  She's wonderful for setting it up the venue in the first place.  *applauds*

Which are great causes in themselves. Veet is really just asking people to stand up and support things.

Ha, well I do this every year with my gay friends who have aids. (Which I totally need to get on getting with my pledging omg.)

I'm like super protest and stand up for your rights gal. I was super pregnant and out in the freezing ass cold trying to get the whole Gay Marriage bill passed (WHICH IT DIDN'T STUPID MAINE). I really have no life and far too many gay friends (like I'm semi sorta friends with the owner of a gay club LOL) so I'm all for gay rights in all its forms.

Thats the nice thing about Maine, we have a lot of, and are totally cool with gays. It ttly sucks when people who live in the middle of no where (Lol not New England) have to deal with bs draaaaama.

yeeeeeeeeah. California. Enough said. Though people are really pretty tolerant here, I think because it's a college town, so there are educated people, but also people from a variety of different places.

I think Portland ME is like, high on the list of biggest gay towns right underneath san fran and the like. We've a huge population of gays. So we're all very open, at least in southern maine, which is like the only part of maine that counts cause northern maine blows even though thats the place I first moved to. IDK I ttly have a hard on for maine. I'm from Wales originally and I like Maine far better.

I try really hard, I'm not gay myself but I have a lot of gay friends. Like a LOT of gay friends, so I'm all about adding my voice to the cause.

*laughs* That's fine. I like straight people, as long as they're not assholes. Maine sounds like an awesome place, from what you've said.

Well I'm still on the firm belief that I should have been born a gay man. Cause I'm like the biggest fag hag. I'm always trying to get more gay and les friends.

Out of all the places I've been in America I think Maine is the most open. People always think we're all closed off cause we're in the middle of no where and yeah there's a lot of republicans in the boondocks, but where the concentrated people are there's a lot of openness. I mean we were THIS CLOSE to passing gay marriage and it only lost by like ten percent or something and the only reason it lost is because it got national attention and people who usually wouldn't vote came out to vote no cause we're not perfect. It really makes me wish I could vote ):

I went to high school in rural Alabama, and no one was openly gay. No one at all. It's creepy. And I've honestly had people tell me I'm going to hell. *sigh* In the area I live now, I know one girl who's bisexual. We got excited when we saw a pair of ladies holding hands at a gas station. It's sad.

Oh god you'd have a field day in Maine. Like 80% of Portland is gay, I swear by it. So you see them shopping, eating lunch, holding hands, making out, like no one hides who they are in portland and the nice thing about most of southern maine is we have the "if it doesn't affect us we don't care" mentality. Which works well with homosexuality. I mean I probably see more of it because like I mentioned to Peter!Mun earlier I'm actually friends with the owner of one of the gay clubs downtown but like its always rocking with people. Which is nice, I've been to gay bars where its been like, two people.

I'll have to swing up there sometime! *laughs* Yeah, the gay bars in Mobile AL are pretty meh. One of them has bingo every Tuesday night, though, and I won a stuffed bear with a hard-on. *shifty eyes*

Omg do it I'll tale you to Styxx it'll be fun, I'm ttly a regular there, its kinda sad everyones like HAAAAAAAAY GURRRRRRL. I like Styxx though cause I can dance, we have a couple of other gay bars, like Blackstones which is okay, its mostly older gents though. I went there when I was pregnant so I couldn't drink but all the girls were like "OMG I HAS PREGNANT FETISHES" which sort of weirded me out. D:

OMG THATS SO FUNNY! I want to win stuffed bears with hardons. I don't ever win anything at trivia night, I'm bad with pop culture.

Ooooh, trivia. I'm just good with literature and science and history questions, mostly. Pop culture I don't know.
