Peter had the day off because he was going to be working all weekend, which was nice. He'd been busy all morning, but the afternoon was a little slower. He was waiting for Elle, and considering she had been bugging him to tell her what was going on, he was more nervous about telling her than he was about telling Nathan. It wasn't that he was ashamed--far from it, he just didn't know how other people would take it. But it wouldn't stop him anyway, either way that it went. He was also looking forward to just talking with her in general. Elle was a friend after all.
