nothing seems to quite
make any sense
lights dont shine
and the darkness
isnt too cold
this world
is not my friend
this moment
always finds me
again and again
Hello Dear-
how's your day
hate to tell you this
but Death has come
to take yet another
Loved One Away
but dont be crass
you cant be shy
since He's come
plenty of times
so dont you cry
not this time
nothing has changed
the distance will
only continue to
gain
and any questions
you had
well now you dont have
to waste your breath
might as well
hold it for a new day
because youve seen it
before
the words fall apart
just like your memories
cant make real sounds
and now you
should find peace
the words of the kind
from the stupidly blind
who can only remind you
of the mistakes
that can never be
erased
as the sorrys' sweep
up these empty streets
where you used to be
a cell with walls
who was your comfort
when your days
were washed away
where have you gone
i hope all the useless
have it now
with their dreams
of you
watching the tide
that i watch
now
you can be
free
from the bars
that your addiction
sealed you into

i cant possibily know
and all my words
just dont seem
quite so full

more to this life
than that cell block
