He wants to kiss Michael because he has the terrifying, fleeting thought of how five years down the road, he can picture himself still fake-fighting with Michael, the easy comfort between them stretching out for longer periods of time than he once thought tangible. He thinks maybe he could do this forever, could be this forever, the two of them. Like this.
