long narrative.
this is the story of how i'm the luckiest person in the world. well, close to. ok no but good enough--
so i am driving my mom's van back from college park at 5 am. i had been drinking, but hey. i was sober enough to drive straight and i had a soccer mom van. come on. that allays at least some suspicion. so anyway. at the 270/495 split, i see flashing lights behind me and i do a double take cause i'm like. shit. i'm not speeding...well obviously i am but everybody else is going the same. but yea, it definitely wants ME to pull over. and not anybody else. so i pull over.
while i sit in the car waiting for the officer to get out, the only words that really come to mind are oh crap.
i lower the window and the officer goes, u know ur front headlight is out.
i'm thinking :O yeeeeeeeeeeeees. just the headlights.
officer: where are u coming from?
me: college park
officer: what were u doing there?
me: ..just hanging out with some friends
officer: have u been drinking?
balls
me: no.
officer: *looks at id* just a little bit? cause u'r underage.
double balls and nutsacks
me: yea just a little. :\ i'm really sorry. i just wanna get home. i wouldn't be driving drunk.
officer: yea it's good to be honest. *checks my eyes* ok. can i see ur registration?
me: i don't have it.. =( (it's my mom's van)
officer: it's ok
he goes to his car..for what seems to be the longest time. i can't figure whether it's cause he's trying to screw me over by writing up a longass citation...or if he's looking up my mom's van.
he comes back...
officer: can u sign here? just get the headlight fixed within 10 days. have a good day! (yes with explanation mark)

..and i was like holy crap. underage? DUI? what happened..
funniest part was in the morning i'm like mom did u know the headlight was out?! and she's like oh yea it's been like that for awhile. i'm thinking...holy crap woman because of ur retardedness i could've gotten written up for driving under the influence AND being underage. and then my mom goes...yea u shouldn't be driving the van at night. good thing u hadn't been drinking.
