Pea soup, freaky fish, and apples galore

I tried my hand at making pea soup and was pleased with the results, thick and hearty on a cold night. I paired it with a savory (not sweet) zucchini, carrot, whole wheat bread. The bread dipped in the soup was amazing.

My camera would not focus on the soup, I gave up and just let it stare at the bread.

Gaylord wanted to go fishing. He asked Rebecca if she would go with him so he could get more fish, with his fishing license he can get 20 and kids do not need a license and can also get 20. So if she was with him he could get 40 fish.

They came home with......ONE fish....that REBECCA had caught! haha
After she reeled it in she refused to have anything more to do with it, hence someone else holding it in the pic. lol

What's neat is that I have a pic of myself at her age, holding the first fish I ever caught. I was out my grandpa too (in Michigan) and caught the same type of fish (northern pike) and we both caught it the same way, trolling. It's in storage or I would post it.

Ever wonder what the inside of a fish looks like?
Don't
It will give you nightmares.

Last night my in-laws worked on 15 pounds of apples!
The kids had fun.
At one point Alex was digging through the washed ones so I asked him what he was doing and he said "Looking for mine. I took a bite out of it and put it back but now I want it again."
