Saturday I left work early and headed to pick up Tara. We went to see my cousin Torey get her pictures taken for prom which was a lot of fun. She always looks so lovely for her dances. Nanny and Papa were there also and we had dinner together. Aunt Teal and Tara sure enjoy picking on me (smiles). If nothing else, Ive met my match (in more ways than one). After that we dropped in at the dance for the coronation and took some more pictures. Followe that up by going back to Tara's for a short little break. We bot got up early and were tired so we went back and relaxed for a while. Tars randomly decided she wanted broccoli bites from Cheddars so we headed out for those and back to the dorm to go to bed.
Sunday I went to church with Torey at Eastview. She feel asleep in the chairs and I spilled my pop all over the floor. We were a mess, lol. Tara and I went to moms at 1 for lunch. When we got there Manda was having a bad day so we talked her through some stuff. Then ate the steak, im not sure what the hec the chicken was. It looked quite unappealing. Manda, Tara, and I went to Walmart, the flower place and stopped by to see if one of my friends was home. We also stopped by to visit with my great-grandparents. After that we went to my cousins Chad and Ginas for a cookout with my dads side of the family. So I think they have all now met Tara and everyone just loves her. How did I get so lucky. One of my biggest fears has always been taking someone around my family. I never knew how I would handle that. The thought of having a girl around my family and me feeling like I had to act differently or be distracted always bothered me but Im so comfortable with Tara there. She fits in so well and I have never felt the need to be a different person.
After the cook-out, we stopped by to visit with my best friend from HS, Matt. Between the two of us conversing over "That Summer", I think Tara learned a lot, lol. Unfortunately I had to take her home so she could study for finals. Hope she does well.
It sure is nice to have someone who not only fits in with my family but adds to it.
