A Bright Day

I glance
stare to my right
and I noticed a sign that says that
a lights coming up
something I've missed too long
but lately the days have been getting warm
and I think its time that something has come my way

something new
a bright day

a moment of peace
is an eternity of mind numbing gratitude
I'll never forget that attitude
and when I think about the past
I only can laugh
at myself for my somberness
coulda been a curse, but now I am blessed
