Ode to CTY
Had an absolutely gorgeous weekend, all due to CTY and reunioning. For many different reasons. First of all, reconnecting with old friends and getting to know people I didn't know that well so much better. So good to see Ken and Jon and Ferret and Noah and Maggie. And then, got so much closer with Alyssa and Correll (well as close to Correll as anyone wants to be) and Humza and Michelle and Jai and Merry and Dan!!! Such good times. There was everything you want in a reunion- good movie watching, grass-orgying, BEST DANCE PARTY EVER, mao, much music, many new private jokes made, much much talking, little sleep. And then there was this other thing...well, I don't think that I'll go into that there. Needless to say, really tasty icing on the cake. Mmmmmmmm. If you want to know more, ask me. :)
But really, the best part was the atmosphere, the aura that just surrounds CTY people and my being with them again. Like coming home. I forgot how good it feels to be with people who really like you and think you're funny and really want to hang out with you, people that you truly respect and adore. I haven't had that in a too long of a time. I have it with CTY people and CMU people, but not at home. It felt so right and so good. It's a gift. Thank you, to everyone at the reunion, for making me remember that.
