you need to understand something. Number one, you are not a leader, and I know you love God, and love people, but the bible verses you just mentioned are scriptures referring to parenting and leadership. The people who would "correct me" were not leaders they were people my own age.
Yes I was pushed out of the church, along with a lot of other people. I have never expected Christians to be perfect, but at the same time I don't need Christians that expect me to be perfect.
The people I'm friends with now are in no way, NO WAY, perfect, but their love and passion for Jesus shines in how they treat others. There is a class system, and a serious problem with the mentality of Christianity out there.
And as for involvement, how can you be involved when everything costs money (of which you have little) and if you ask to lead anything you get turned down. I got tired of the bullcrap so I left.
Seriously, I'm not trying to insult you but get outside your own youth group and find some kids in that church who go every once and awhile but have no place in the youth group and just need a friend.
And btw...going to church needs to ba about Fellowship, FELLOWSHIP (that means people) and not just spending time with God. That's what your personal time is for.
Don't come to conclusions because you don't know some of the things that were said to me behind the scenes. And it disgusted the pastors here.
I'm coming back, but with a mission and it's gonna be hard because Christians will be my biggest critics out there. Because what God has put on my heart is gonna shake some walls in the church.
