He found this something of a surprise.
A/N: Written for Tiltedsyllogism’s Paul Simon Graceland songfic challenge, and inspired by “That Was Your Mother." As much as I wanted to stick to the song, my idea veered away… the song’s title launched a conversation and the fic went from there. (Sorry, boys, no Bourbon Street for you.)
This is an epilogue to “Damage,” and takes place in that universe, although it can also stand alone - it’s not necessary to read “Damage” in order to read this. It’s also very different in tone… let’s just say that after five years, things aren’t quite as angsty anymore. By a long shot.
