There are two bars that Mark and i go to after work sometimes to catch a drink - Finns is the more recent one and has become one of my favorite bars. Roberts is where we used to go to, and for variety sake because we've been to Finns a lot lately, we went to Roberts for the first time in a while.
Roberts is a drinkers bar - there's a pool table and a ping pong table, but the highlight of that bar is that every weekday from 6:00-7:00 the bar puts Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune on full blast. People get drunk and watch and try to answer questions or guess puzzles.
The drinks that they pour at Roberts are much stiffer and larger than what they do at Finns. As a result, i came home with a heavier buzz than i had anticipated getting, which always makes me tired, so i opted to take a 1 hour nap, setting an alarm timer so i could get up and be productive in the evening. The plan was to go to Target and buy some stuff with the $150 gift card i have before it expires at the end of the month.
i woke up about four hours later. I guess Target is going to wait.
So now i'm awake and i'm trying to sort out whether or not the part that i've written for the last part of the percussion quartet is too hard for a player to play, and trying to get the pacing right and the transition right. I'll probably be up for another hour doing this and then either fall back asleep or play another game of FTL and see if i can beat that last damned boss fight.
