digital video camera
want to get a digital video camera for work purposes. i don't know crap about digital video cameras and could use some suggestions/a starting point.
the main use will be filming the tulane marching band from the press box height at the Louisiana Superdome (example angle). sub use will be for filming concerts, mardi gras, other performing events, maybe some rehearsals and interviews.
i want the video camera to be decent quality (HD) but also portable. not necessarily super portable like the Flip, but i don't want something that needs to be shouldered. storage should be SD card based. decent audio is preferred but by not required as stock audio does fine for most things and we have a separate audio recorder for times that it doesn't. other than that no real bells or whistles necessary. i imagine that price won't be an issue for what it is that we're looking for.
