through random chance i discovered that LJ has enhanced their spam comment prevention by giving a few different options for commenters' requirements to enter a captcha code. mine's currently set to 'non-friend', so LJ friends aren't affected, everyone else will have to enter a captcha.
it feels like tuesday.
