five by five by five
recently the creator of the facebook application Prolific created a variant where you can play on a 5x5 board with a five letter minimum.
yeah, guess where all of my spare computer time has been lately.
it's funny too, because even moreso than regular 5x5, i can be very hot or cold, either winning against some decent opponents or losing against people i normally beat. in general there's something... *static*, maybe, about the way i play prolific/boggle in terms of pattern recognition.
or maybe it just seems that way. in truth, before it took me effort to see words like testa, testae, haem, haed, ryot. but now those in particular are just as natural for me to see as any common word that i always see.
now if i can only do that with huge words.
i think i'm going to write a stepchart.
