(no subject)
This is a perfect update time, I was intending on skipping class and sleeping in but the Construction outside my window put the kabosh on that idea. Since I'm up and skipping class anyways, I should update. Listening to the Bloc Party as suggested from the Ganz man, not bad. I don't take advantage of the numerous venues and shows here enough, maybe I should go see them tonight since their playing downtown. Who knows, maybe another band of immense talent whom I've never heard of will open for them.
Just about 1.1 months left on this school year, very exciting. Not being a UIC flamer will be quite nice. The only thing that sucks is putting off four papers until the last two weeks they are due. Looks like my weekends will be consumed with writing those baby boys, with some breaks for nonsense in between.
So my seventy-two year old neighbor went off and died on me. Apparently last weekend he must have had a heart attack in his apartment, where he was probably dead for 4 days or so. The weird thing is that my roommate found his glasses laying in the hallway and just hung them on his door. Then, his sister says "maybe you should knock on the door, something could be wrong with him". To which he responded, "enh". What would we have done anyways? You can't just enter the guys apartment without consent and finding a dead stranger would be quite weird as it is. He seemed like a happy guy though, always striking up convo's with the residents. I talked to his son yesterday, I should have told him that he probably died from all the construction right outside his window. If i'm twenty and I can barely stand all the noise I can't imagine what a 72 year old man who barely left his apartment thought of it.
It's so much more enjoyable to walk around the city in the recent days from the nice weather. People seem to be happier and maybe it's the weather but attractive people are everywhere. Actually got to play tennis for the first time in months with adrian. Went downtown and played in the Daley Plaza or whatnot where adrian destroyed me and then we were both destroyed by high school kids in doubles. The tennis was ended by a rain storm which soaked us, twas good stuff.
