I think I'm finally managing to re-integrate certain "me things" back into my life.
Namely getting back to livejournal and facebook. It's a first step.
A next nice step would be yoga. I miss yoga...
I've done some yoga on my own once in a while. But it isn't the same as having one night a week where I walk a block and enjoy a group atmosphere with a yoga instructor.
The nearest yoga classes I've found around here thus far involve a half-hour drive minimum. Personally, I really appreciated the walk to and from.
Although, the one location (that's a half hour away) does also offer a course to become a certified yoga instructor... I have to admit that this has caught my interest.
I think I'd like to first complete the life goal of studying yoga in India, though.
Then there's the whole thing where I need to get back into weekly practice.
It's a vicious circle.
Really I just need some more self-discipline and motivation that I've yet to obtain.
My new year's goal was to study for the GRE so I'd be more than prepared to retake it this summer.
Haven't started that either.
I think motivating yourself when you lack the immediate support system of certain environments is a bit... difficult.
I obtained a job and am working full time, but I'm in the environment to do so. Married, graduated, living with that spouse...
No yoga buddies though.
No one around me studying for anything either.
Tricky.
Oh, and cats deciding that the best time to curl up next to you is when you're holding a yoga posture also helps with the difficulty aspect. (I feel bad about locking them out of the room, but I think I'll have to get over that.)
As for photography... I have things in the works, I guess. They're just all in my head with long-term goals of getting out onto film or... memory card. (weird.) I've been sketching out my ideas in my sketchbook though. So at least in that manner I have them in rough draft.
Now that I'm typing... I'm realizing I have three completely different entries I could also write about.
1) The long and ironically humorous adventure of getting my new desk and bookshelf that somehow ends with a squad car in a snow bank.
2) My typically depressed season and how I'm coping (apparently better) this year.
3) How I've become addicted to the 2008 race to the White House and my thoughts on the candidates, the youth vote, and the issues.
Hmm, perhaps some other time. I don't want to overwhelm you all when you realize I've begun updating again. ;-)
