Rosy days

:-)

So last Monday, I walked into yoga class and was approached by one of the older women who is a regular at the class. She told me the instructor was stuck in Green Bay and didn't have time to cancel the class. The instructor had asked this woman to ask me if I would lead the class because I "know the routine and [have] good posture."
I did it. I can't say no to such things when people specifically ask me. It was the least relaxing yoga session I think I've ever been to, however, it did end up being pretty fun despite my being slightly flustered by the whole thing.

So today (Monday), I got to yoga class just a little bit late. Everyone else was already on their backs watching their breathing to begin. When the yoga instructor saw me, she commented "There's our teacher" with a smile and directed me to an open space in the front.
After class, she came over and thanked me for teaching and then PAID ME! :-O (are you kidding?! No.) I tried to say that she really didn't need to do that, etc. but she said I deserved it. ($25!) THEN.... Then she asked me if I was free on Saturday mornings and would I be willing to teach two Saturday morning classes in May.

...(are you kidding me???) eeeehehhehehehe! So of course I said I would but I had to check the dates and as it turns out, I can only teach one because on the other Saturday I'll be in Minnesota for Midwest Lindy Fest, but... hehe, I'm going to teach another yoga class. :-D (and this time I'll be prepared!)

In the course of this conversation, she also found out I'm engaged and gave a big hug and congratulations for that. :-)

So all that on top of photography class today: we learned how to print cyanotypes. You process the negatives the same way as usual and then you mix a light sensitive emulsion on a piece of (pretty ordinary) paper. Let the paper dry, situate your negative on top of it, and then make your print by going outside and sitting with it in direct sunlight for about 20 min. :-D
I was laying on my back, eyes closed, soaking in the sun and yet still able to say "I'm working. No seriously, I'm making a print. See? It's right over there." lol

Today was a rosy day.
