land of the dead
well i figured i would write about this movie because if anyone knows me i love horror movies. first of ill start by saying i only think that people who have seen the whole series should have the right to see this. i get angry at people that just go because they think it will be scary! i also read a review about the film in the newspaper. the person that did it gave it bad reviews because of the items in it. romero has a set pattern in his films. which deal with socity and the age we are in. iam a huge fan of his work. i hate people that only know him for his DEAD films and they think they know him. dont get me wrong those are his famous works but THERE IS OTHER FILMS HE MADE. sorry i know iam sounded like an asshole but i hate it. same thing with all those people that think peter jackson was cool because of lord of the rings. i had jackson's horror movies and knew of him before those films. it pisses me off. anyways i stumbed my sister today. she was saying how she loved his work. so i was like really? well then name 3 of his movies besides his dead films. she couldent. however she dosent count. she has watched other romero films with so i know what she ment. in fact she owns Two Evil Eyes. time for a test kiaja dont answer though cause you know the answer. how is two evil eyes related in someway to l.o.t.d. ?
sorry thats just me being obsessive. i truely dont know what to say about l.o.t.d. it was a good watch dont get me wrong. but for a romero dead film it fell short. this could be because it was rated R. the dvd release is going to be unrated. it had grate effects. the cgi effects were good. great cast and acting was top of the line. the negitive stuff is that 90% of the movie is about truck. the movie focused more on the truck than on the people. not to mention when they showed us the high rise building it just felt like we were back in the mall. seriously there was people shopping then the zombies come in. thank god the zombies werent running though. although i still think that some of them walked to fast aka big daddy. just to let everyone know the plot to this film was taken from the original day of the dead script. if you read it you would know what iam talking about. iam glad romero was on the big screen again! they dident show enough of dennis hopper. i dident get a chance to hate him that much. plus they said zombie in this film. they never do that. in closing romero iam glad you made a 4th dead film. it is a good film but not the best in the series. ill support you no matter what!
