Double Rainbow All the Way Across the Sky

Work last night was actually awesome. I got in around 4:50 and clocked out at 8:50. It was fast paced since we had to plate everything in the kitchen and send it out. I made this weird thing of grapes wrapped in blue cheese, coated in toasted pecans. Um, ew. Then I put those in the serving plate for the servers to pass around. I put these mozzarella balls wrapped in prosciutto on skewers in a basket too. I got (barely) yelled at when the servers were passing around appetizers and I forgot to take one of the things out of the fridge to give to one of the girls. Ted, one of the awesome chefs, came over and said, "Tell them it was my fault. I'll get yelled at." I shrugged it off because it wasn't like anyone was really mad or annoyed at my mistake. They went out anyway. But it was a nice gesture from Ted. So I was making salads too and that was interesting. Then I got to make cut out cookies. I chose a gingerbread man, a snowman (that reminded Ted of our manager XD) and mittens. I also had to help get the salads up when one of the other managers was getting them on the trays for servers to bring out. That was fast paced and difficult since I'm short. We began making dinner plates not long after and it was a crazy assembly line. I burned my finger twice on the heating lamp that was keeping the veggies warm. Also the veggies were fucking hot so that kind of hurt too haha. Throughout a lot of the night Ted kept bothering me if I was getting a tattoo or not. He has like a million. I told him if I wanted to be homeless I'd get one. I do want like three of them though. We cleaned up the kitchen after dinner was served. The dessert trays and baskets were all set up already so those of us in the kitchen began washing the stuff we used and the counters. Another chef, Chris, and I bonded basically. He was the one helping me out most of the night and we just talked as he washed the counters and I dried them behind him. That was cool. But I clocked out and went home after. I might work next Thursday and Friday but we'll see.

I tried to get in touch with Billy when I left. I was starving and wanted to go to a diner since I knew there was no food in the house. He was with Stef and they didn't come with me so I went with my mom instead. We split a plate of fries. She also had a soup and I had a hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin. All the food was really good. We got home around 11 maybe and I just chilled out.

Probably going to see Bobby tonight. I need to get a movie from him to watch for class on Tuesday. How annoying. Currently I'm reading Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself". It's really long but really good so far. I'm only on 13 of I forget how many but I know there are a lot more left.

There's not much to say about it. Music is the one thing that I can really connect to. It can shape my moods, change my moods or reflect my moods. I've been exposed to so many different kinds of music and people involved in music. It can really be a beautiful scene when everyone stops being greedy or selfish assholes.
