Silently screaming

Today I am prone to panicking.

I am working in a different job than "normal", having a secondment for a couple of months as the Courses Support Officer. Mostly it's been super boring, nothing much to do and nothing urgent to complete but this morning I received a few emails that caused me to panic.

I'm also trying to get my course plan sorted but ran into some issues yesterday and decided to chase up on them. I found out that the unit I am enrolled in for the summer semester has not yet been timetabled for, despite classes starting in about 2 weeks. I guess they forgot to timetable the subjects! I wonder if my phone call yesterday prompted them to timetable all the IT and Science subjects they have offered.

Also, the subject I hate, that I failed twice, is not listed as being offered in 2011. The cross over to my job however is that this subject is required for some of our courses and no one I spoke to over in the Science/IT faculty knows what is going on. Crazy!

So panic I do.

This weekend is huge. Which is probably the reason for my panic-ability. My family is coming over tomorrow for my brother's birthday bbq. Then on Sunday I am picking up a Canadian lady I have never met before but conversed over the internet with for a few years (and she has stayed with some of my friends overseas) and so I have to get my house clean and sorted and my dogs presentable. Ahckah!!!

Better get back to work...
