Nymeria

Sansa tells herself she does not dare hope when they find out Nymeria is having puppies, she still wonders what she might have found that day in the bush when Arya had told her to 'get in the shelter', while she stood on guard with her sword and sometimes she dreams of hunting in the jungle. She says nothing though even the hope is a betrayal of Lady and when the puppies come it hurts more than Ser Boros' sword or Ser Mandon's mailed fist when Arya says "You can't have one, Your wolf died." Sansa waits two days before she decides if she cannot have a wolf she can make do with a dog.

Tyrion

When he appears at Summerfell finally though she had known he was here they all had, her Father does not send her with him and that is a relief and all he wants it seems is to make peace. Lady doesn't even growl at him though her brothers are pacing, he's nervous it seems even before he sees the wolves he has only one request. her brothers glares but his request is reasonable 'a word with my lady wife.' and they do not seem inclined to refuse him. She never tells them what he said and her brothers cannot kill him anymore than they could kill Theon. She sees him looking at her sometimes at the compound, on the beach and though she always avoids him, he is staring again. When she kisses the Hound for the first time on the island, she makes sure to do it where they will be seen and though the reaction of her family is frightening to behold she knows he has finally turned his face away.

Theon

They all disappear one by one, first her family then King Robert, who did promise to look after her when they were gone but one comment that it is a shame she does not look like her aunt is enough to make her skittish, so she does not miss him. The Hound is gone too, she thinks, though she found it hard to find him anyway, but the helm Jon took from his friend is gone and she knows what that means and she realises Daenerys is gone when the grown dragon no longer haunts the sky. It is then that he appears he is dressed as he was on the day of his wedding, his gold curls atumble under his crown and while Lady is grown now it is not enough. She flees from him which works at first but the IPD is mostly gone now and she knows he will find her. She is uncertain at first but she thinks and she has not forgotten all her lessons, she goes to her last remaining brother of a sort. When she sees him she puts aside the thought of Joffrey’s sneering cruel smile and his plan to chip the pearl direwolf from the cup and replace it with a squid. That is easier to do than to forget that he burned Winterfell, but the castle was stone, it will mostly stand and the millers children were only smallfolk. She remembers what Cersei Lannister taught her and while she goes to him in tears, 'you have another weapon' she makes it plain what Joffrey’s death will mean to her and more important what it could mean for him. When it is done and he comes for her she goes with him willingly and considers it a bargain well made.

Alayne

Alayne had been lonely since she got to the island and she sometimes regrets not using her real name as there is no-one here from Westeros, she is taken to the compound where she is given a room on virtue of being an unaccompanied minor yet even in the compound wearing the wool gown means she is still ill with heat stroke. She doesn’t understand the illness and eventually ends up in the clinic, though by that time it's dehydration, one of the doctors mentions the man with the broken leg who was here before her but she isn’t really listening, she keeps thinking she sees a red haired boy who looks like Rickon in the corridor and she wonders if the heat has taken her wits, she leaves the infirmary dressed in clothing that is more comfortable and yet less so she develops habits of tugging it down and pulling it up and spends her days in bed reading, and her nights lying awake wondering what her disapearence has done to Petyr's plans.

She hears a tale of a Jon Snow and his brothers and she wonders if he would be pleased to see her and how brothers of the nights watch are faring here but she does not seek them out, she had never been close to Jon and Alyane has no brothers anyway.

She wakes one morning to find the compound more crowded than normal and she is confused as to what they are indicating has happened, she leaves thinking it more stories, someone has told that dead people can appear here but Alayne does not believe them. That is like something out of a song and Alayne has learned that lesson. She makes her way to the beach which is curiously abandoned, and is not there long at all when she find herself staring stunned at Robb but when he speaks it’s all wrong, she recognises the crude flirting from other encounters she’s had and eventually he tells her his name is Johnny, a doppelganger for her dead brother she realises, she is suddenly desperate to remain within him, this sudden reminder of home and it doesn’t occur to her clumsy attempts to respond to his flirting are not the best way of doing this, she lets it go far too far and afterwards she wants to throw up but part of her feels it was worth it to almost see Robb and be wanted again. The true horror sinks in when Grey Wind bounds up to the hummer and Johnny laughing tells her that Robb’s little sister almost stabbed him that morning. Alayne flees back to the compound and does not leave her room despite the muffled noises she can hear for most of the weekend, It is a week later when she meets actual Johnny who has brought her flowers by way of apology though he has no idea what to be sorry for. They talk briefly but he colour drains from his face and makes excuses and flees when he finds out her age and if Alayne does not understand his reasoning, she is a woman flowered after all, it does not mean she isn’t grateful when he is gone, his presence was a reminder of her own shame.

Alayne knows where to find her, no, Sansa's family now, Johnny described it well enough and if she sometimes still thinks she sees Rickon in the corridors of the compound she is careful to avoid him. She has almost gathered her courage when the sickness starts again and a small part of her wills it be the heat, she stays in her room, and wonders what she will do. By the time it the snow comes she knows. She is so thin from the heat stroke it isn't long at all after that before she begins to show and despite her self she dons the wool gown in an attempt to hide it, until it no longer fits and she begins to be less careful in her panic. She ventures outside only when she thinks no-one will be around and she hears of more arrivals. a passing doctor; the woman one who tries to convince her to go to the clinic, talks of a boy who can't walk, and she knows who it is, she could almost consider going to them if she knew what she might say.

She might have stayed away for ever keeping to herself, if Arya had not been so quiet, but Alaynehas to eat sometimes and search for ever more large clothing and once her sister has seen her then there is nothing to do but go back to shelter they are calling Summerfell. Jon looks at her but says nothing and Arya for once is quiet as well. She can't meet her Father's gaze and Bran and Rickon both stare eyes wide. When Robb sees her, he swears, his anger vehement and obvious and at once she is afraid he knows, but then he promises her Tyrion’s head if he should appear and she feels weak with relief, she never even has to speak the lie out loud.

She is growing almost too large to walk when she finally see Johnny again and from the look of disgust he gives her she knows he knows, but he hesitatingly asks anyway, “so, a husband?” Sansa doesn’t understand the question at first but if he hadn’t noticed, 'I bled' she thinks angrily but she knows she can use this. She fills her eyes with tears and told him, “I was a married to an enemy when I was twelve and he.." she chokes back a sob, the tremble in her voice not quite real "I never wanted to, I’d even rather it was…” she bites her lip and trails off in tears before finishing that sentence and she even thinks he believes her though it’s mainly so he doesn’t have to feel guilty anymore.

When the baby is born he looks, of course, like Robb but that’s nothing. ‘He takes after me’ she says pretending pleasure and all agree without speaking that it’s preferable to a blond haired green eyed babe, which is probably what they were expecting. It’s a relief to everyone except to Rickon who had wanted to see a dwarf baby, a comment that was enough to give Sansa nightmares everyone knows children born of incest are deformed. She names the baby Jon, and calls him Jonny an act that suprises everyone and perhaps Jon most of all, it keeps Johnny even further away and if she insists his surname is Stark and not Lannister not even Father tells her no, it does not matter here and as long as no-one knows it should be Snow, she is reasonably content. He is her son and that is what counts and if Grey Wind seems more protective of him than the other wolves well he is eldest and Robb guards her closely now, though she can barely look at him. When she hears of those of Westeros appearing, she thinks of Tyrion first, she prepares her lies just in case, he'll easily believe anything of Joff and a good dose of guilt should make him keep his distance. If she has a regret, it is for the sneer she received from Sandor whe he saw her with a babe. She sees him sometimes at the compound watching her and she thinks from the looks perhaps there might be hope there after all and that would be worth having, Robb might threaten Tyrion but she would rather trust his death to the Hound.

Mother

When Lady Catelyn finally appears on the island Sansa has been praying for her Mother for two moons but then she is here and Sansa cannot tell her the secret, not when her mother is so happy to see her children again. Sansa finally braves the clinic instead and when they talk to her of options she listens, she is sure it is a sin by the old gods and the seven but it means she can have her family and him, as long as she continues to lie. Afterwards she cries herself to sleep and tells herself he wouldn't have wanted it anyway.
