Sunday afternoon tea

Sansa had spent the best part of the week in bed, pretending towards fatigue. She could not help but worry she would encounter Theon again or worse that somehow her family would find out about the way she had behaved with him. She'd been beyond dreadful in the way she had behaved and the things she allowed Theon to do to her. She tired to comfort herself with the thought she would not have been able to stop him but she hadn't even tried and though she had read the chapters of her books that mentioned hormones (repeatedly) she knew it did not make her any less shameful. Father had forbidden her to even speak to Theon and even if that was not the case, what sort of women let a man do things to like that to her when they were not even courting let along wed. On top of all that was the way she felt for Caspian, what would he think friend or not. She spent most of her days in bed (to add to the impression she was tired) and was therefore plagued with dreams in which Caspian behaved towards her the way Theon had. She really only considered them a plague after she woke, she quite enjoyed them when they were happening, which only made her more ashamed she was meant to think of Caspian as a friend.

She carried on this way only emerging from her room only to eat and make sure she did not cause undue concern and worry to her family until the weekend came. She normally went to Susan's on a weekend to have tea and she thought it would be very poor manners to miss it giving Susan's trouble the previous month. It would be quite unsisterly of her. So she dressed plainly and actually did her hair and made her way to Susan's followed by Lady and for once, she did not make her way there by going past Caspian's home. She felt to much guilt and shame and then she felt the worse for avoiding him, he had not done anything wrong it was her who seemingly could not be trusted in the presence of an attractive man.

She tried to put her worries out of her mind by the time she reaches Susan's neat home, she would not be much company otherwise. She went to knock and before she could Lady announced their present and Sansa heard Shadow answer from inside. "You're to make those pups behave," she told Lady firmly. She would have left Lady at home thinking two direwolves enough for Susan to deal with but she was ever hopeful Lady could set them a good example.
