I've come up with three habits I hope to make a regular thing in 2014:
1) 20 minutes every morning on the exercise bike. Before the kids wake up, so I'm not doing my 20 minutes in 3 minute increments. However, I accept some days will be like that, and that's ok. This isn't a losing weight thing, this is a general health thing, FYI.
2) Updating here once week, on Fridays (which is a typically slow work/homeschooling day, so there should be time). I also have a homeschool blog elsewhere that I should be updating, but like most homeschooling parents, I'm too busy being with the kids to talk about being with the kids.
3) This last one is the biggie - This year I'm going to actively seek work instead of relying on referrals. The goal is to contact a new company every day. My goal is to end 2014 with wages above the poverty level.
My main paying job is going well, but I want to branch out. Right now I'm working on a whole site redesign and adding about 100 pages to improve usability and SEO (right now, many things are clumped on pages and splitting them up makes sense, but it is a LOT of work). I've also made changes to the marketing and tone of the social media accounts and gotten really good response (which was what I thought would happen).
My tennis elbow issue has flared up in the past month or so (it dates back to carrying baby-Zoe everywhere). I hate slowing down to deal with it, but I don't see another option.
