Summer Reading!

Jun 19, 2007 22:59

The wonderful thing about college is how once you get there, you no longer have required summer reading. Yeah, there's the stuff about electron microscopy, titanium structure, and stereology that I have to read for work, but that's different, not like the dull, time-consuming assignments of high school. This means I have time to read for fun!

Read This Summer:
The Bourne Identity - Robert Ludlum
-Excellent, excellent book. Well written, great plot, and I enjoyed how the author keeps you in suspense! Definitly recommend it!!!

Currently Reading:
Wicked - Gregory Maguire
-Good so far, mainly reading it because I get to see the musical in July!!!!

Plan to Read:
The Language of God: A Scientist Presents Evidence for Belief - Francis Collins
-Saw Collins speak at MIT, which was excellent.
The other Bourne books
-Because the first one was excellent! (though I'm typically dubious of sequels...)
Catch-22
  -Because I never have.
More of the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett
-Because it's been too long since I've read one. (I highly recommend these!)
Harry Potter VII
-When it comes out, of course.
????

I'm sure I'll come up with more, but in the meantime, anyone have any recommendations?? I love suggestions!
