when you going to realize, it was just that the time was wrong

i just got in from running and then mowing the lawn. mowing the lawn was the final affirmation that summer has commenced whether i have work to do or not. today i fell into one of those waking dreams where youre almost consciously dictating the direction that your dream is taking. it was about my summer and it made final the fact that im going to completely float through it. you know. not really root myself to anything. go to monhegan to see hannah on a whim. come home when i feel like it, but more often than not stay out. get a 'bot tattoo if you will...ha. theres no new point here, it was going to be that way anyway. now im just not going to deny or try to pretend like it makes sense and is in order.

friday i met matt in portland and then it became a perfect afternoon/night at the beach. he slept over (much to my pleasent surprise) and we woke up early...i just did on account of a rousing knock through the bedroom walls. from then on (about 8:30) with the exception of a car ride to brunswick and a diner experience we never actually really got out of bed. or couch. or whatever. it was a good rainy day for vegging out. i think i watched four movies total.

the ride home was enjoyable. the light pollution, getting off the highway at that seemingly endless biddeford exit, and driving through portland at night were the highlights.

next was tired and dazed at hannahs, which turned into good movie/very vanilla soymilk for the 2nd time that day/beach cruise/bob dylan/comfortable silences with she and soph/some conversation/1/2 asleep ride home.

today ive been happy. and thats about all.

a story that just happened to liven up the post:
my dad just goes,
"pretty soon you and are going to have a beer together...pretty exciting huh?"
i said, "yea dad. pretty exciting."
then he held up his neon yellow lumber yard hat from the 1980's and and i said, "and maybe ill even let your wear my hat. this ones pretty special you know. fox lumber has been closed for over 10 years"
"thanks dad"

ahh, jack hayes.
