Drink of the Day: Cliquet

So when I was at Border's, I found on sale something fantastic: 501 Must-Taste Cocktails
It makes me want to have lots of parties and things.

So here's the book's recipe for my current libation, with my adaptations:

Cliquet
4-5 ice cubes
juice of 1 orange (I used Simply Orange with Mango... bit more than 8 oz, I think? )
3 measures bourbon or Scotch whiskey (I used Scotch)
1 Tablespoon dark rum

Put the ice cubes into a mixing glass. Pour the orange juice, whiskey and rum over the ice. Stir vigorously, then strain in to a sour glass.
(I tossed it all in a mason jar and shook it up a bit.)

With freshly squeezed OJ and not the absolute cheapest rum & scotch, I think this would be wonderfully refreshing. A bit on the hearty side. Probably a good Fall drink.
