Wow. So Elevation was amazing. I am so lucky to be able to hav been a part of that. I mean when i think about it, how many other talented musicians are there out there my age that could have taken my place? But it was me, i got that amazing opportunity. To lead 2500 people, mostly teens my age in worship. goodness gracious. So i gotta tell you about this one lady, the was something else. So she comes up to me after it's all over and she goes like this...
"ya know, i just wanted to tell you how amazing i think you are. I work with girls your age in the youth group, and i have a passion for you girls, and i can see the passion you have for being on stage and leading worship. You can see it. So, do you do music and stuff on your own?"
and i said... "well not too much, i write alot of music, but lyrically, i wasn't gifted in that area."
"Well," she said "just listen. Honestly, just listen, because God has something special planned for you. He is going to do great things in your life. How about the next Elevation i will ask you about your music and how many new songs you have written, all you have to do is listen."
i go, "uh oo, so this is a test eh? i mean ive tried writing lyrics before, but they arent anything profound."
"honestly hun, just listen. God has so much instore for your life. Be ready."
I mean this lady honestly was so sincere about everything she was saying and so passionate about it. And the one thing i love is that she says she can see my passion on stage. I worry a lot sometime about people thinking its all for show. And that's one of the things i pray about a lot, that God would convict me of that and truly let me be at a place where it's all about worship and Him, and nothing about me or being on stage.
But yah, uh. i wish everyone could have been there. it was awesome. It's funny because random people have already come up to me in the halls at school like... "hey, i saw you onstage at elevation, you can sang girl, sang me something. I didnt know you even went to central." but yah... its cool and funny at the same time.
O yah, so i FINALLY got accepted to GVSU! YAY! I'm still so confused though about college. I just don't know. i hate it. Spring Arbor is giving me like $7000 on scholarships and grants (no loans thank god) but that doesnt even count if i decide to play on the soccer team there. My good friend i met at the recruit weekend is signing with the team today. They are giving her like $11000, the total of grants, scholarships and soccer stuff. But honestly, i havent even talked to the coach recently, and they prob already have their roster filled for this coming season. I've done some more research on Athletic Training and such, and i really dont know about that. And with Music Business, i can only major in that if i go to Travecca in Nash, for Huntington in IN<--- very expensive. soooo who knows. i guess God knows where i will end up... i sure wish he'd tell me. :)
