I really like the perspective of the first frame. There is something happening in there with the different angles/levels of the groups that just manages to suggest a much larger crowd of people than you actually drew. I believe I've seen a similar technique in the Kitty Kat Keller illustrations.
The detail again is lovely. For instance the bun and necklace on the woman in the "Just Saying This" panel even though her face is turned away from us.
Favourite panel? Sam's surprised eye. That surprise is caught so graphically in so very few lines. Lovely.
The "Time to hit the road" panel left me with a giggle.
Your women all seem very muscular *cough* for the '70s. I can't help wondering if that's a style choice or a plot hint? :D
Thank you!

Yes indeed. Like I said, V is one of my fave comics and I use it a lot for references. The other thing I used a lot for reference were screencaps from the ballroom scene of The X-Files episode "Triangle".

Haha! I wish I could explain it all as an artistic choice, but the truth of the matter is that I've been out of practice with figure drawing for a long time. So as I was drawing the women, they were either coming out as sickly thin-looking or a bit more curvy and muscular. I figured the latter was the better choice and just bit my tongue and went with it. ;-)
Glad you're enjoying it!

I don't have much concrit, because I don't have much crit at all. Panelling is well paced and the staging is good and I think you did marvelously on the crowd scenes, well worth the time invested.
Thanks for this! Looking forward to more.
