Ouch. This chapter was a painful read. The interrogation scene was right out of the show; as uncomfortable as for the viewer/reader to witness as it should be. Sam's suffering is awful but it's Gene who my heart's breaking for.

I admire the speed with which you're updating this. I'm hooked. :)

I flail, much in the same manner as my icon. I haven't stopped flailing yet.

Just achingly brilliant. Going off to sob over a hot chocolate now. Am hormonal this week anyway, so chocolate is needed to counteract the angst!!

I had forgotten that you are evil, cliffhanger woman.

I just love Gene in this. You have made him so 3 dimensional that as a reader, you can feel his pain. I think he needs a cuddle and I'd like to volunteer.

I am totally jonesing for the next chapter.

I've been pretty lenient with the cliffhangers as of late and thought I should get back to my roots. :)

"I just don't know what to do," Gene wept.

"There, there," said Ducky, pulling him into a tight embrace. "It'll all be okay."

Gene wrapped his arms tightly around her, refusing to let go.

I've posted the next chapter. Someone needs to tear me away from my laptop now...
