I've looked through the "1970s Real Life" tag entries but nothing hits what I'm looking for, because I am a DIV and I know NOTHING about policing, much less policing Manchester-1973 style.
QUESTION:
The radio thingie. Say Sam's out and he's got a radio on him. Phyllis tries to reach him from base. Does he have an assigned radio #, or would she called out his 'badge' #, or??? And likewise would he (per protocol, this being Sam, natch) refer to her by a base code or does she have an assigned 'radio ID'?
(I remember the episode with Leonard has a good 'radio' scene I should pick apart but I'm at work right now.)
Any help is appreciated, really. Any. Otherwise I'm going to have to fake something and then get nailed for not doing my research. Horrors!
