I like how Sam's affecting all of them - even if they don't want to admit it, his problems have become their problems. Shows how much of a unit they are despite their differences (and they have a fair few). :)
:O I was just about to write a fic where Sam throws his television out of the window! You beat me to it! Creepy... ;)

Well I'm not the first to have Sam chuck out his tv, I can't remember what fic I saw that in, but it was always something I planned on doing here. I would love to see someone else's take on it. Bring on more crazy!Sam angst!
Thank you!

One line I did like was this: However, the more she poured over her books and journals, even though they were only a few years old, when it came to Sam everything she read seemed somehow outdated.

I'm torn between smacking him and hugging him, the poor messed up sod. And oh, Gene! He's so patient with Sam here, but Sam just throws it all back in his face...petulant child indeed!
What exactly are you planning on Sam doing with those broken window shards? Because you just can't make us come all this way only to kill Sam while Gene's sat in the pub?
Oh, the angst! More?
(Oh yeah, wonderfully and believably written too! I spend so much time commenting on the story I forget to praise you on your writing, which is always of an excellent standard... ;))

That would be a good angsty idea, Gene off drinking while Sam's suffering and alone...;) Too bad I've already written the next part.
Thank you!!!

Poor Sam, although he is being a rather huge prat, his swings between panic/fog and lucidity are really messing with him... Please don't let him be stupid enough to touch the broken glass!
Gene sat down in a stall, gathering his strength and quelling the thought that he’d failed again. This line is strikingly beautiful. Oof...
I love your portrayal of Gene's Missus! And Annie checking up on shellshock, clever girl! And Ray and his dog! And Chris not leaving the bathroom! And just everything really!
This is getting rambly, but another fantastic installment! Can't wait for more!
